Chelsey + Lukasz | Charbar Wedding | Featured in Wedding Bells
We were so glad we could be a part of Chelsey + Lukasz' wedding day! It was everything we always want weddings to be - fun, beautiful, full of love, full of flowers....and with the largest raw fish we've ever seen (more on that below!).
C+L wanted an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. Not only did they want to make sure the wedding was beautiful and elegant, but also full of love, personal elements and family traditions.
We love when couples that get married in industrial venue spaces are able to make it look romantic. C had a wonderful floral vision for the wedding (and we were lucky enough that she let us suggest a few additional elements as well!). The overall design focused on enhancing the space with florals (oh, hey Flowers by Janie!) and beautiful hand-lettered elements.
One of our biggest suggestions for couples is to utilize elements already in the venue. For C+L we focused on using Charbar's ceviche carts (our faves!) for styled moments, as well as using their wooden backboard (which usually sports community events and announcements) as a gallery wall for their entrance table.
The planning focused on making the wedding venue as beautiful (and functional) as possible! Floral elements were placed strategically for big moments (first dance, speeches, etc.) and one long table was able to be created for the dinner.
The 'We'll-Remember-This-Always' Moments
As a nod to C's East Coast roots, her friends and family hosted a screech-in ceremony for L - and no, he wasn't saved by the bell (get it?!)! L was an amazing sport, dawned that rain slicker like a champ, and easily obtained honourary Newfoundlander status.
PS it was our first time ever being part of a screech-in and it was such a fun time! East Coast couples - let's make this a staple!
The Wrap Up
We were so lucky to get to celebrate C+L's wedding day with them. It was a beautiful as it as fun, as are they!
