Suzanne + Gordon | Banff Elopement
Being based in the USA, S+G wanted some help with long distance wedding planning and we were so happy to answer the call! Having never been to Banff before, S+G wanted to get married in the outdoors and share the mountain views with their closest family + friends.
With the ceremony being held outside at Tunnel Mountain, we kept the design for the ceremony as simple as possible to highlight the beautiful scenery in the background. S carried a large statement bouquet, which added some beautiful color to the day and the couple brought a bit of ‘home’ with them - famous Georgia cookies to share as wedding favours with their guests.
S+G went from an outdoor ceremony to the Banff Springs for their reception. With such an intimate group, they fit perfectly into the newly renovated wine cellar for dinner. Seated at one long table, they were able to chat and share toasts throughout the evening.
The 'We'll-Remember-This-Always' Moment
There were some unseasonably cold temperatures through the day, but five minutes before the ceremony started, we were all surprised when snow started to fall…..and never stopped. Through snow flurries S+G exchanged their vows - giving their family and friends a real taste of what it’s like in the mountains.
The Wrap Up
S+G were such a wonderful couple. Not only were they excited to get married, but they were so sweet and excited to share their day with us and the other vendors, that they included a vendor photo in their shot list - one of the nicest gifts we’ve received!
